Gaze

This is a painting of a red mask, its gaze. It dominates a room.

My first portrait in oils. I also used acrylics, markers, pencils, and oil pastels. The background pattern is created with AxiDraw, which I programmed to draw this particular pattern using a metallic marker. The background consists of several layers, sanded and painted magazine pages among them. Wooden board.
