With M. we created a beautiful design—a floral bouquet with the moon above it. Always a great pleasure to work on botanical tattoo projects. This floral arrangement contains numerous symbols. The main motive is Yin and Yang as a Balance.
The client wanted to represent a very creative and holistic way of thinking. Finding the balance of living against the grain and along the grain is their life goal. We had a list of flowers to incorporate into the design. As a result, we stopped at Honey Suckle, Golden Rod, and a Marigold.
Making the design
The lines of the flowers are meant to be simple and romantic. It turned out to be a magical nocturnal still-life composition.
Symbols
Honeysuckle is viewed as a symbol of happiness. It can often be used to symbolize devotion and everlasting bonds.
The Goldenrod flower often represents encouragement and growth. In some cultures, it is also a symbol of good luck.
One of Marigold's meanings is creativity and the drive to succeed.
The Moon is an image of duality and balance. Its symbolism relates to imagination, change, and femininity.
